Graveside Funeral Services for Dorothy “Dot” Merle Harrell Boegner, age 95, of Picayune, MS, who passed away Monday, March 16, 2020, were held Thursday, March 19, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at New Palestine Cemetery.

Burial was in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

A native of Picayune, MS, she was a retired beautician and a jack of all trades. Dot enjoyed yard work, her flowers, and being outdoors. She was a member of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Wilson Harrell and Juanita Tourne Harrell; her husband, Robert Louis Boegner, Sr.; her brothers, Robert “Jack” Harrell, James Harrell, J.W. Harrell, Charles Harrell; her sister, Margaret Stewart; and her grandson, David Joseph Boegner.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Juanita Sharon (Mickey) Reid, Robert “Bobby” (Holley) Louis Boegner, Jr., and Dorothy Susan Boegner; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Kenneth (Eleanor) Harrell; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Leola Coleman, Ceretha Travis, Brenda Price, Shelia Kirsh, Ruby Stubbs, Marie Washington, Becky Galloway, and Ashley Taylor of Southern Care Hospice for their loving care and compassion shown to our mother during her later years.
