Pearl River County Sheriff Department made six DUI arrests during its participation in the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over blitz campaign from Dec. 13 to Jan. 1.
The department also made 10 felony arrests, 21 drug arrests and 42 warrant arrests, said Maj. Joe Quave.
The campaign used a combination of safety checkpoints and traffic stops to conduct those arrests.
During the campaign, the department issued 13 child restraint violations and 10 seatbelt violations. There were 34 citations issued for suspended driver’s license, 36 citations for no insurance, four speeding citations and six reckless driving citations.
The department also recovered six stolen vehicles, Quave said.
The department will participate in another National Highway Traffic Safety Association campaign near Memorial Day.
“Our guys work really hard and they got several drunk drivers, most importantly, off the road. They work hard day in and day out and we’re proud of them,” Quave said.
