Louis Anthony Galiano

Louis Anthony Galiano of Carriere, Mississippi passed away Friday, December 27, 2019 at the age of 80, in the comfort of his home.

Louis was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and resided in Carriere, Mississippi for 32 years. He was an avid reader and loved to teach. He was a graduate of LSU where he later taught English. He also taught economics and business management at Elaine P. Nunez Community College. Louis wrote and published the book “Snorkel- Immersions in Time”. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah Galiano; stepdaughter, Starr Michele Grenat of St. Bernard, Louisiana; stepson, Kerry Michael Grenat, Jr. (Christina) of Temecula, California; five grandchildren, Caroline E. Breaux, Mason A. Breaux, Isaac M. Grenat, Liliana E. Grenat and Phoenix K. Grenat; and two great-grandchildren, Eli J. Whitney and Ensley M. Whitney.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Helen Galiano.

A Graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m. January 10, 2020 at St. Bernard Memorial Gardens, officiated by Father David W. Munn. Arrangements are under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home.
