Hixie Sue Bounds of Carriere, Mississippi passed away Saturday, January 11, 2020 at the age of 71.

Hixie was born May 19, 1948 in Monroe, Louisiana and lived out her later years in Carriere, Mississippi. She was a believer in helping others and found joy in lending a hand. She was a hard worker in life in general and loved to cook and bake. Her many blessings were her family that she adored dearly. She will be truly missed by many.

She is survived by one son, Chris Bounds of Carriere, Mississippi; one daughter, Renee Bounds of Picayune, Mississippi; two grandchildren, Cayden and Brandon Bounds; one brother, Floyd Scroggins of Beatman, Louisiana; three sisters, Deloris May (Joe) of Monroe, Louisiana, Beatrice Nealy (Don) of Bastrop, Louisiana, Bertha Fortune (Darwin) of Ruston, Louisiana; sisters-in-law, Mary Scroggins, and Martha Scroggins;

She is preceded in death by her husband, James Bounds, Jr.; parents, Julius and Cora Scroggins; four brothers, James Scroggins (Bonnie), Robert Scroggins, Howard Scroggins, and Allen Scroggins; two sisters, Myrtle Meeks (Henry) and Agnes Carter; sister-in-law Connie Scroggins.

Visitation will be held 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Picayune Funeral Home. Services will begin at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at Picayune Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Bro. Danny Johnson. Burial will follow to First Baptist Church of McNeil Cemetery.
