Betsy Christina Plowman

Betsy Christina Plowman of Picayune, Mississippi passed away after her courageous battle with cancer at home surrounded by her family and friends, January 27, 2020.

Betsy was a member of Lee’s Chapel #2 Missionary Baptist Church and an elementary school teacher at Roseland Park Elementary in the Picayune School district.

She is preceded in death by maternal grandparents Julia Mae Taylor and Elvin Earl McNeece and paternal grandparents, John and Ina Mae Moore.

Betsy is survived by her husband, Adam Plowman; children, Gracie Plowman, Lily Lott, Peyton Plowman, Jacob Lott and Lacy Lott; parents, JE and Betty Moore; siblings, Debbie (Robert) Green and John (Jenny) Moore III; nieces and nephews, John Moore IV, Maegan Green, Matthew Green, Kaylen Moore, Jacob Penley and Oliva Penley.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 31, 2020 from 6:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m. at Picayune Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Lee’s Chapel #2 Missionary Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in the Lee’s Chapel #2 Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers, Betsy’s request was for book donations to be made to the West Hancock Elementary School and Roseland Park Elementary School Libraries.
