Charles “Ronnie” Burks of Carriere, Mississippi passed away Thursday, December 5, 2019 at the age of 69.

“Ronnie” was a lifelong resident of Pearl River County. He loved being outdoors, fishing and farming. One of his joys in life was gardening with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by two sons, Brandon Burks (Katie) of Carriere, Mississippi and Stephen Scott Mclemore (Christy) of Bentonville, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Braiden Burks, Kylie Burks, Addison Vegas, Madylin Mclemore, Joshua Mclemore, and Jackson Mclemore; and several family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie Herman Burks and Eloise Wise Burks; and one brother, Randall Ernest Burks.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 14, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. located at Picayune Funeral Home. A Private family visitation will be 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Services will be held at Picayune Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Steve Posey officiating. Burial will follow at Henleyfield First Baptist Church of Carriere.
