Funeral Services for Willie Mae Howell, age 88, of Picayune, MS, who passed away Thursday, October 24, 2019, will be held Monday, October 28, 2019, at 12:00 pm at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.

Visitation will be Monday, October 28, 2019 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at McDonald Funeral Home.

Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Bro. Scott Downes will officiate the service, assisted by Earl Smith.

A native of Mt. Olive, MS and a resident of Picayune until her passing, Willie Mae was a Homemaker and a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. She loved to cook and spend time with her family. Willie Mae was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Leonard Smith and Alma Mae Sawyer Smith; her loving and devoted husband of 54 years, Alvin Howell, Jr; her grandson, Jeremy Allen Howell; and 4 sisters and 4 brothers.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Allen Howell, Steve (Valery) Howell, Tommy Howell, Kathy (Gary) Williams, and Karen (Jim) Luke; 8 grandchildren, Tina Benivegna, Stephen Howell, Nathan Howell, Beth Arcement, Debra Howell, Lauren Luke, Chanda Butler, and Gary Williams, Jr; 10 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
