She enjoyed nothing more than entertaining a group of friends at her home for many occasions. Her love of gardening, inherited from her mother, was an ever evolving project. She enjoyed painting and accomplished many pieces of artwork that she presented to her children. She was a pioneer in outdoor hunting adventures for women back in the 60’s. She was one of the first women ever featured in Outdoor Life when writer Ted Trueblood came down to see her massive buck, which she killed in Adams County Mississippi.
