Poplarville woman who died in head on collision named

The Poplarville woman who died in a head on collision along Highway 11 Tuesday evening has been identified.
According to a release from the Mississippi Highway Patrol, the woman was identified as 56-year-old Rachel Annette Reeves.
According to previous coverage, the collision occurred at about 10 p.m. Tuesday on Highway 11 just south of the intersection of Savannah Millard Road. At that time a southbound 1999 Chevrolet S-10 was struck head on by a northbound 1984 Freightliner towing another Freightliner that crossed the centerline.
The driver of the Chevy, later identified as Reeves, was taken to Highland Community Hospital where she was pronounced deceased by medical staff. She was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision, the release states.
Injuries were not reported by the driver and passenger of the Freightliner.
