Funeral Services for Jewel Sybil Stockstill, age 90, of Picayune, MS, who passed away Sunday, June 23, 2019, will be held Tuesday, June  25, 2019, at 12:00 pm at New Palestine Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June  25, 2019 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at New Palestine Baptist Church.

Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Dr. Josh Braddy will officiate the service.

A native of Picayune, MS, she was a retired Financial Advisor at Slidell Memorial Hospital and a member of New Palestine Baptist Church. Sybil enjoyed painting, feeding birds, music, singing, and spending time with her family. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Don W. Merrill and Sara Edna Ezell Merrill; her husband of 32 years, Van Merle Stockstill, Sr.; her sisters and brothers, Kenneth Howard Merrill, Doyle Merrill, Frankie Marie Palmisano, Dan Eugene Merrill, and Paul E. Merrill.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving and devoted children, Patricia Gayle Moler and Van Merle (Pam) Stockstill, Jr.; 4 grandchildren, Christopher Jayson (Tammy Rae) Artalona, Sr., Jonathan Todd (Tammy Dossett) Stockstill, Kira Diana Moler, Jeremy Cayne (Ashley Ferrell) Stockstill; 8 great grandchildren, Jonathan Tyler Stockstill, Bayle Grace Stockstill, Jacob Harrison Stockstill, Chloe Layne Stockstill, Sierra Brooke Artalona, Christopher Jayson Artalona, Jr., Benjamin Grant Moler, and Jesse Anne McCormick; her sister, Ramona Kay Kennedy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
