Picayune Police Department Summer Camp taking applications

The Picayune Police Summer Camp will hold a sign up day on Monday April 8th at 8:00 a.m.
Applications can be obtained from the Police Department, located at 328 South Main St. in Picayune.
In order to participate in the camp, children must be aged betweezn 7 to 12.
Parents must provide a proof of insurance for each child that is registered, and as such are advised to bring copy of that insurance to turn in with the application.
Applications must be notarized before they are turned back in to the Police Department.
Camps will be held the following dates and times.
— Children aged 7-9 who are registered before the deadline will participate in camp on June 3 through 7. Camp on Monday through Thursday will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; end of camp celebration will be held on that Friday from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
— Children aged 10-12 who are registered before the deadline will participate in camp on June 17 through 21. Camp on Monday through Thursday will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. And end of camp celebration will be held on that Friday from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Applications will be accepted until all 50 slots for each camp are filled. Slots will be filled on a first come first served manner. Slots for each camp fill quickly. Last year they filled up in 54 minutes.
Overflow applications will be added to a waiting list.
