Skimmers found at Biloxi gas station
The Biloxi Police Department reports that credit card skimmers were found at a gas station in that area.
The morning of December 17, officers were sent to the Loves Truck Stop at 11332 Cedar Lake Rd. in Biloxi, due to reports of credit card skimming devices being found. The devices were found by an employee conducting routine gas pump maintenance. Devices were found on at least two different gas pumps at the station. Based on the report, it is believed that the devices were installed inside the pumps sometime between December 14th and December 17th.
At this time it is unknown if credit card information was captured or transmitted by the devices. The Biloxi Police Department urges anyone who may have bought gas at that location between the listed dates to monitor bank account for suspicious transactions.
If there is suspicious activity on an account, contact the bank to begin an internal fraudulent investigative process and then make a police report.
