Operation Spring Cleaning ends, demographics revealed

The Picayune Police Department’s Operation Spring Cleaning ended recently, resulting in a total of 22 felony arrests and the removal of drugs and weapons from the streets of Picayune, according to a departmental release.

According to previous coverage, Operation Spring Cleaning was a year-long undercover narcotics operation, which led to the arrest of multiple suspects for the possession of and attempted distribution of controlled substances.

According to the release, the results from Operation Spring Cleaning were broken down into four districts within the city limits. District 33 runs from just north of Highway 43 N, east to the railroad tracks, and south to Palestine Road.  District 34 encompasses the areas east of the railroad tracks, south to East Canal Street, and north to Lumpkin Road. District 35 includes all of the Picayune area south of East Canal Street and east of the railroad tracks. This includes areas as far as Picayune’s Airport Road and parts of Interstate 59. Finally, District 36 includes all of the area west of the railroad tracks and south of Palestine Road within Picayune city limits.

According to the release, seven arrests made during Operation Spring Cleaning were in District 34. Within the remaining Districts five arrests each were made.

Of the individual arrests made, according to the release, nine white women, seven black men and six white men were arrested. No black women were arrested as part of Operation Spring Cleaning, the release states. According  to  the release, several assets were seized by the Police Department, including $3,700, one Nissan Murano, three handguns, hydroponic marijuana, methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine, crack cocaine, liquid codeine, suboxone, clozapam, hydrocodone and ecstasy.

Those arrested Under Operation Spring Cleaning are:

Nicholas Devron Wash, 39, 1605 Adcox Road, Picayune; arrested March 26, for two warrants for the sale of heroin and methamphetamine within 1,500 feet of a church and two warrants for conspiracy to sell heroin and methamphetamine within 1,500 feet of a church.

Brec Taylor Hines, 26, 801 Charlotte Drive, Picayune; arrested March 26 for three counts of sale of a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a church, and three counts of conspiracy to sell a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a church.

Audryana Brooke Waggoner, 27, 66 Choctaw Drive, Carriere; arrested March 26, for sale of a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a church and conspiracy to sell a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a church.

Curtis Eugene Coleman, 37, 1111 Baylous St., Picayune; arrested March 26, for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute within 1,500 feet of a church and felony child abuse.

Roderick Lynn Williams, 55, 307 Rosa St., Picayune; arrested March 27, for three counts of sale of a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a church and three counts of conspiracy to sell a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a church.

Lakeith Monea Rawls, 40, 308 North Blanks Avenue, Picayune; arrested April 2, for two counts of trafficking a controlled substance.

Carlos Dwan Stringfellow, 41, 36386 Salmen St., Slidell, La.; arrested April 2, for two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

Terral Dean Omeara, 58, 1009 Chestnut Drive, Picayune; arrested April 2, for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, trafficking a controlled substance while in possession of a firearm, possession of a stolen firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Tabitha Danielle Omera, 26, 1009 Chestnut Drive, Picayune; arrested April 2, for trafficking a controlled substance while in possession of a firearm, possession of a stolen firearm and two counts of felony child abuse.

Jason Lee Freeman, 20, 236 Foxtrail Road, Picayune; arrested April 9, for possession of a controlled substance and endangering a child by DUI.

Donald Cooper Sr., 55, 1223 Kingsway Dr., Apt F-22, Picayune; arrested April 16, for warrants for two counts of sale of a controlled substance and conspiracy to sell a controlled substance.

Talitha Ann Longyear, 31, 1200 Holly St., Apt 1, Picayune; arrested April 17, for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and prostitution.

Tomara Lynn East-Holloway, 47, 24 Hayes Ln., Picayune; arrested April 19, for sale of a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a church warrant and conspiracy to sell a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a church warrant.

Stacy Masoner Simoneaux, 53, 661 Savannah Millard Road, Poplarville; arrested April 19, for possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a church and conspiracy to sell a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a church.

James Douglas Owens, 33, 55 HK Lewis Road, Carriere; arrested April 23, for possession of a controlled substance.

Kathy Dianne Owens, 55, 54 HK Lewis Road, Carriere; arrested April 23, for possession of a controlled substance.

Colby Pauline Brown, 30, 83 Bass Road, Carriere; arrested May 1, for possession of a controlled substance.

Jefferey Lee Pilgram, 34, 1731 West 4th Ave., Picayune; arrested May 2, for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.

Devin Ketchens, 37, 203 Cottonwood St., Picayune; arrested May 14, for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute while in possession of a firearm.

James Busetto Penton, 32, 3 Roger Penton Road, Carriere; arrested May 17, for conspiracy to sell a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a church.

Rex Donald Moak, 57, 177 Koch Road, Picayune; arrested May 22, for possession of a controlled substance and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

Skylar Brittney-Bessie Bailey, 25, 703 South Haugh Ave., Apt. C, Picayune; arrested May 23, for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute within 1,500 feet of a church.
