John West, age 72, of Picayune, Mississippi passed away Thursday, March 15, 2018

A memorial service will be held by the family on Saturday, March 17, 2017 at Sones Chapel Church at 3:00 p.m.

Mr. West was a former heavy equipment operator, a resident of Pearl River County for 30 years.

He is survived by his wife Ruby West of Carriere; daughter, Teresa Smith of Alabama; sisters, Margaret Anderson of Florida, Polly Williams of Alabama, and Shirley Pullens of Georgia; grandchildren, Latisha Thomas, and John E. Smith; and four great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Leona Watkins West; and great-grandson, Azariah Thomas.
