The Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the location of a teenager who allegedly stole guns, money and personal items.

Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department Chief Investigator Marc Ogden said the case involves 16-year-old Dalton Jaymes Jordan, who allegedly stole two handguns, an AK-47, cash and two pairs of shoes from a friend’s grandparent’s house in Carriere.

“The reason we are able to identify Jordan, even though he is a minor, is because he was certified as an adult after being convicted of two commercial burglaries last November,” Ogden said.

Due to his conviction of the two commercial burglaries, Jordan was sentenced to a seven-year post-release probation sentence with the Mississippi Department of Corrections, Ogden said.

After Jordan stole the alleged items, he posted a picture with his friend and the items on his Snapchat account, Ogden said.

As a result, there are six new warrants for Jordan’s arrest, which include grand larceny, conspiracy to commit grand larceny, three counts of possession of a weapon after a felony conviction and causing or directing a juvenile to commit a felony crime.

Ogden said Jordan can at times be found in the Picayune and Nicholson area so if anyone has any information about his location, they are asked to call the Sheriff’s Department at (601) 795-2241 or send a message to the Sheriff’s Department via the department’s Facebook page.

“We are currently following leads that we have received of his possible whereabouts and we appreciate the community’s help,” Ogden said.
