Dr. Josh Braddy and Rev. Ryan Moreaux will officiate the service.

A native of Sudbury, Ontario, Canada, she was recognized as an outstanding registered nurse at Ochsner’s Hospital in New Orleans, LA. Sharon came to Picayune and helped build Riser Medical Associates to service the community of Picayune, Mississippi. She touched so many people’s lives and always wanted to know what she could do for others. Sharon spent countless hours with families who were going through tough times. She made sure their needs were met, without the expectation of being recognized.

Sharon raised three sons, ensuring they were on time for school and extra curricular activities, doing all of this while working, cooking three meals a day, and attending all of the boy’s thousands of sports activities. She did all of this without any complaints and with love in her heart. Sharon was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, who was loved by many and will be truly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis Alexander MacIntyre and Simone Michaud MacIntyre; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Henry Leroy and Lynelle Riser.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, James Matthew Riser, M.D.; her sons, James Matthew (Jeanette) Riser, Jr., Alexander Francis (Allison) Riser, and Jacob Murray Douglas Riser; her two grandchildren, Jacob Alexander Riser and Jace Henry Riser; her brothers, Douglas MacIntyre, Nick MacIntyre, and Greg MacIntyre; and many nieces and nephews.
