The investigation got it’s first break when the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Department, contacted the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department about some stolen property that was recovered in their jurisdiction. Ogden said that property was stolen during a recent rash of car burglaries at local wrecker services. The items included money and purses, Ogden said.

While the two agencies shared information about the burglaries, it was discovered that two suspects wanted for an alleged credit card fraud at a Picayune Walmart on Dec. 27, were also wanted by the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Department for automobile burglaries.

Ogden said that his agency was also told by the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Department that the suspects, who were later identified as Darien Keil Jr., 20, and Clenot Dennar, 30, both of Iberia Parish, La., have extensive histories of theft and credit card fraud in their jurisdiction.

With the help of the Iberia Parish Department,; Keil was arrested for the alleged auto burglaries in Iberia Parish and currently awaits extradition to Pearl River County for the alleged credit card fraud, Ogden said.

Dennar is still wanted for the alleged credit card fraud and auto burglaries, Ogden said.
