iGive.com is an online shopping mall where a portion from each purchase can be donated to a cause.

Diamond said the fundraiser is one of many efforts to gather enough money to fund the operation of the shelter.

Via the website, county residents can shop from more than 1,700 retail stores, including Walmart, JCPenney, Best Buy, Walgreens, Sears, Macy’s and many others.

According to iGive.com approximately 350,000 people to date have contributed toward a cause while shopping on the website.

Donations can vary from .5 percent to over 20 percent, based on each retailer.

Diamond said that so far the shelter has received $2,800 in donations from the website and she hopes the shelter receives a lot more.
