The Poplarville High School Honeybees are organizing a Little Honeybees Dance Camp Fundraiser to be held Jan. 20.

The fundraiser will raise money to purchase championship rings for the varsity dance team. The team won the State championship last year.

Morgan Smith, first grade teacher at Poplarville Lower Elementary and organizer for the fundraising event, said children attending the camp could learn various dance skills, will be taught an entire dance routine and also learn some Hornet cheers.

All children attending the camp will get a chance to perform at the high school basketball game to be held on Jan. 26.

The dance camp will take place at the high school gym and all participants will receive a Little Honeybee Dance Camp T-shirt.

Smith said she hopes student turnout at the camp is high so they can take advantage of the opportunity to learn about being on a dance team from the varsity members.

Tickets for the camp are $30 and registration will take place on Jan. 20 at 8:15 a.m., and the dance camp will begin at 9 a.m. and last until noon. For more information, contact Morgan Smith on 601-795-4736.
