Funeral services for Minister Frank B. Washington, Sr., 68, of Picayune, will be held Saturday, January 27. 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Greater Emmanuel Baptist Church. Pastor Alex Wesco, Sr. will officiate at the service.

Frank Bernard Washington was born November 11, 1949 to the late Toney Washington, Sr. and Mary Tyson Washington in Picayune, MS.  He was a 1967 graduate of George W. Carver High.

Minister Washington had many talents but his passion was Ministering.  He was a faithful and active member of Greater Emmanuel Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday School and enjoyed singing in the choir.  As a result of his generous spirit and pleasant personality, He was loved by many.  He was ardent about fishing, cooking his homemade pies and his grand kids.

Minister Frank Bernard Washington, Sr. ended this earthly life to accept his heavenly reward on January 20, 2018 at Lakeview Regional Hospital in Covington, Louisiana.  Earth’s loss is surely Heaven’s gain.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Toney and Mary Washington; two brothers, Canary Washington and Jerry Washington; four sisters, Cleo Magee, Dorothy Nell Hart, Audrey D. Piper, and Irene Washington.

His life will forever be cherished in the lives of: his four children, LaTreache Dickerson, Frank Washington, Jr., Kumberly Washington, and Juang-Wong Washington; four sisters, Maggie Mae Tyson, of Carriere, Mississippi, Jessie Mae Washington, of Los Angeles, California, Helen Robinson and Pearlie Robinson, both of Picayune, Mississippi; four brothers, Toney Washington, Jr., of Picayune, Mississippi ; Neely Washington, Ellis Washington, both of Hutchinson, Kansas, and Lecester Washington, of North Carolina; grandchildren, Katora Culpepper, Tinika Culpepper, Camille Culpepper, Jasmine Washington, Chris Walker Jr., Jarvis Walker, Damien Newell, Ja’Tasuan Allen, Jaden Page, King-Samuel Washington, Eden Grace Washington, Jaylin Dickerson, and Kambrie Dickerson; and  a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Visitation will be at the church, one hour prior to service.  Interment will in the Picayune Cemetery. Entrusted to Brown’s Funeral Home.
