Misty Toruno, Highland Community Hospital executive assistant, shops for the items that are placed in the basket each year and said the basket has everything a newborn will need.

Both parents were thrilled to bring their first child as a couple into this world and said that they couldn’t have asked for a better way to step into the New Year.

“It feels like a blessing to give birth to a healthy child and we are beyond happy,” Erick said.

Dr. James Blount was the attending physician and Paige Jordan and Jordan Pharr,  RNs in Highland Community Hospital’s Obstetrics, were the attending nurses at the time of Easton Case Brown’s birth.
