Louisiana State Police Sergeant Kevin Allen said the accident occurred when the driver of the first vehicle, Kenneth Cunningham, 51, of Gulfport, pulled in front of the second vehicle driven by James Donald Adams, 32, of Alabama, while both vehicles were northbound on Interstate 59.

Allen said Adams was transported to Highland Community Hospital in Picayune for treatment of minor injuries. Cunningham did not report any injuries, Allen said.

“Officers of the Louisiana State Police have been at the site since the accident occurred in the morning and have been trying to get the traffic moving. We are expecting to get a clear idea of the situation by tomorrow morning,” Allen said.
