(Update 12-11-17: Pearl River County Fire Marshal Albert Lee said that an investigation into the fire determined its cause to be accidental due to the stove being left on.)

A fire reportedly broke out in a home on 30 Hubert Ladner Road, close to Highway 53 in Poplarville, Thursday afternoon. The fire caused extensive damage to the home, said Pearl River County Fire Marshal Albert Lee.
