A fatal accident at Central Landfill in Millard involved an unoccupied vehicle that struck a pedestrian.

The incident occurred Tuesday afternoon at about 1 p.m., said Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy Shane Tucker.

The accident is currently under investigation and next of kin has not been notified so the identity of the deceased is currently unavailable.
