Funeral Services for Betty Wise Burks, age 89, of Henleyfield, Mississippi, who passed away Friday, December 8, 2017, will be held Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at 2:00 pm at New Henleyfield Southern Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 13, 2017 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at New Henleyfield Southern Baptist Church. 

Burial will be in Henleyfield Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Rev. R.T. Buckley will officiate the service.

A native of Henleyfield, Mississippi, she was a Bookkeeper and a Charter member of New Henleyfield Southern Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert K. Burks, parents, Tildon Wise and Elizabeth “Lizzie” Smith Wise; grandson, William Kalvin Burks; sister, Ivy Ruth Wise Lakey; brothers, Milford Wise, Shirley Wise, and Elmer Wise.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Sandra Burks Daigle and husband Ricky, and Rhonda Burks Wetzel; son, Bruce K. Burks; grandchildren, Erin Daigle, Kayla Daigle Guerra and husband Trey, and Stephen K. Wetzel III; great grandchildren, Gavin Guerra, Eva Guerra, Ashley Daigle, and Mallory Daigle.
