Woman sleeping in vehicle found with drugs

Picayune Police officers on patrol arrested a woman after being sent to check into suspicious activity near a dumpster at a local business.
According to a departmental press release, the complainant alleged a white Chrysler was suspiciously parked near the dumpster of a local business, on Nov. 16 at 6 p.m.
Officers arrived, identified the driver as 39-year-old Nicole Michelle Bremer of 14 Herb Gentry Rd., Poplarville, and noticed she was carrying a loaded black .25 caliber handgun in her bra, the release states.
A check of her record found she had a prior conviction for accessory after the fact of bank robbery from 2010, the release states, making her a convicted felon. She was asked to hand over the firearm and was subsequently placed under arrest for possession of a weapon by convicted felon.
A subsequent search of Bremer’s vehicle located a plastic bag containing a crystal like substance believed to be methamphetamine, 16 green pills identified as alprazolam and $7,290 in cash near the drugs. Detectives arrived and later learned through investigative techniques that the narcotics and currency were to be sold to an unidentified person and the cash was to be used to purchase more narcotics, the release states.
Bremer was arrested for two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to transfer while in possession of a firearm and the cash, narcotics and her vehicle were seized, the release states.
