Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 12 noon at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Interment will be in the New Palestine Cemetery. Pastor Donald Parker will officiate at the services.

Clifton Dwight Myers, aka “Hot-Dog” was born on December 11, 1968 to Clifton Manning and the late Debra Myers-McDonald, in Laurel, Mississippi. He departed this life on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Forest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

Clifton was a graduate of Picayune Memorial High School, Class of 1986 and Jackson State University, Class of 1990. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.

He married the love of his life, Anneise Martin-Myers o September 2, 2017 with God’s blessing.

He loved playing football, softball and coaching.  He was an active player of many different leagues. Clifton was a coach and a committee member of the Picayune Youth Athletic Association.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Debra Myers-McDonald;  grandmother, Tressie Myers-Levi; uncles, Theddies and Jerry Myers; father-in-law, George Martin Sr.; brother-in-laws, Donald Jackson, George Martin Jr., Melvin Nixon, Sr. and Andrew Stokes and one sister-in-law, Jettie Martin-McGowan.

He leaves to cherish his memories. His wife and forever best friend, Anneise Martin-Myers; three daughters,  Jalique Martin, Juanika Martin of Picayune, MS; Brianna (Brandon) Jones of Marrero, Louisiana; and one son, Javione Martin of Picayune, Mississippi; one loving sister, Debroah Myers-Miller; three brothers, Clifton Manning, Jr., Carlos Manning, and his pride and joy, baby brother, Keith Myers;

Two very special  cousins, Jerald (Tika) and Nigel (Tamika) Myers;  special uncle, Steve Joseph;  two special aunts, Peggy(Stephon) Magee and Norma Myers; eight sister-in-laws, Rita (Willie) Harvey, Alene (Larry) Thompson, Bettie Stokes, Veronica (Samuel) Hartley,  Sandra Jackson, Denise (Samuel ) Jackson, Charlene Martin-Nixon and Clarinda Martin; one brother -in-law, Willie McGowan; three godchildren, Desire Hampton, Tavarie Gray-Magee, and Erik Stubbs.

Three special friends, Larry Breland, Deon McDougle and Doniel Spriggs; seven grandchildren, Steven, Cameron, JaNavia, JaNasa, JahMorren, JahNiya and Falyonn; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
