Funeral Services for Thomas Ira Stewart, age 76, of Picayune, Mississippi, who passed away Thursday, September 7, 2017, will be held Saturday, September 16, 2017, at 11:00 am at First United Methodist Church of Picayune.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at First United Methodist Church of Picayune.
Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Rev. Harold Manning will officiate the service.
A native of Jackson County, Mississippi,, he served in the United States Marines Corps from 1960 until 1964. Tommy was a draftsman at Stewart Machine and later at KSI. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Picayune, and sang in the choir.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Eugene “Jelly” Stewart and Mary Inez Crain Stewart; and his uncle and aunt, Ray and Louise Stewart.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, Thomas Lance Stewart; his sister, Carol Ann Koskela; his niece, Leslie (Chris) Caldwell; his great nephew, Jack West; his aunt, Miriam Van Scoter; and 2 special caregivers, Mary Lynn Smith and Linda May.
