Sister Olga Olevia Bankston Magee

Sister Olga Olevia Bankston Magee was born on May 31, 1948, to the late Wilmer Lewis, Sr., and Ovier Mae Bowens. Sister Magee is presently married to Deacon James Magee, Sr.
On Friday, September 1, 2017, the death angels came and claimed the birth spirit of Sister Olga Magee away to a land that is free from sickness, sorrow, pain and death. Sister Magee was a very active member in her church and all loved her. She was a hard-working lady, who was last employed at Hancock Medical Center as Supervisor of Environmental Services.
Sister Magee was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Monroe Lewis, Sr., and Wilmer Lewis, Jr.; two sisters: Melba Gray and Betty Harrison. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Deacon James Magee, Sr.; five daughters: Nechelle (Alvin) Mitchell of Fayetteville, GA; Kem (Anthony) Murray, Cynthia Bankston, Jammette Simmons, and Omeka (Gary) Hall all of Kiln, Mississippi. two sons: Kelvis (Tracy) Bankston of Pass Christian, Mississippi; and James Leonard “Buzz” Bankston, Jr. of Kiln, Mississippi. 10 brothers: Melton (Patricia) Lewis, Sr., Kenneth E. (Rose) Lewis, Calvin M. (Linda) Lewis, Henry “Jody” Lewis, Samuel (Monique) Lewis, David (Lena) Bowens, Kelvis Bowens, Glen (Carlina) Summers, all of Hancock County, Mississippi; Howard (Shirley) Lewis, Sr., of Moss Point, Mississippi; Joseph Summers of South Carolina.
One Sister, Debra Samoura of Gulfport, Mississippi. two Sister-in-laws, Vannetta Lewis of Catahoula, Mississippi; and Bessie Lewis of Baltimore, MD; She also leaves two nieces that were like sisters, Marilyn “Donna” Henry and Ovier “Penny” Gutter, a special sister, Deborah Woods, 21 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services for Sister Olga Magee will be on Saturday, September 9, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Little Providence Baptist Church, 21150 Highway 43, Picayune, Mississippi 39466, in the Catahoula Community. Visitation will be at Little Providence Baptist Church from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Interment will be at the Catahoula Cemetery. The repast will be in the fellowship hall of the Little Providence Baptist Church. The funeral arrangements are entrusted to Brown’s Funeral Home, 1011 Rosa Street, Picayune, Mississippi.
