Most Pearl River County offices and businesses will be closed Monday for Labor Day. All county and city offices will be closed including those in Picayune and Poplarville.
The Crosby Memorial and Poplarville Public libraries will also be closed Monday and resume normal hours Tuesday.
For grocery needs, both Ramey’s in Poplarville and Claiborne Hill, Winn Dixie and Walmart in Picayune will be open during regular business hours. Most Pearl River County residents will need to take care of their pharmacy needs before the holiday, as Picayune Drug Co., CVS, Walgreens on Highway 43 South, Fred’s Westside Pharmacy and City Rexall Drugs will be closed in Picayune. Boone’s Pharmacy will also be closed in Poplarville.
Yet, the Walgreens Pharmacy on Highway 11 will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the Rite Aid Pharmacy on Memorial Boulevard will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
