Funeral service will be held Monday, Sept. 4, 2017 at noon in New Welcome Baptist Church in Poplarville, Mississippi, for Mrs. Elizabeth Daniel, age 80, of Picayune, who died Tuesday Aug. 29, 2017 in Hattiesburg. 

The Rev., M.J. Galloway will officiate at the service. 

A native of  Poplarville, she was a homemaker and foster mother. She was a member of New Welcome Baptist Church, where she taught the Children Sunday School Class and was a choir member. She served as Vice President of Springhill Triumph District Association Senior Mission No. 2. 

Survivors include one son Ricky (wife Uesky) Daniel of Ohio; one daughter Eskeletha (husband Tyrone) Dorsey of Carriere, Mississippi; five grandchildren: Andrea (husband, Justin) Anderson, Darletha and Kaletha Dorsey, Bethany Daniel, Chelsea (husband John) Eades; three grandchildren: Jasmine, Ava, and O’Neal Anderson; one sister Vera Bullock of Jackson, Mississippi; one brother Arthur Moore of Chicago; sisters-in-law: Henretta Moore of California and Maevella Moore of Louisiana; mother-in-law Ella Mae Daniel; sisters-in-law: Dorothy John, Mattie Daniels Bracklet, Katherine (Edward) Holt, Mary Kathryn (Lee) Armstrong, Gwendolyn Daniels, all of Poplarville; brothers-in-law Roger Lee (June) Daniels, William Daniels Jr., of Poplarville,  Rev. Tommy (Sue) Daniels of Biloxi, Jerry (Louisa) Daniels and Johnny (Vernell) Daniels of Jackson and Michael (Glenda) Daniels of Brandon, Mississippi. 

Preceded in death by husband Henry Daniel; parents Deacon Stephen Moore and Margaret Moore; brothers, Prescie Moore Sr., Caldwell Moore, O’Neal Moore, Ameal Moore, Ivory Moore and Curtis Moore; one sister Leola Moore Jordan; and sister-in-law Willie Bell (Ben)Harry

Visitation will be Monday Sept. 4, 2017, at 11 a.m. until noon in New Welcome Baptist Church,  burial in Dave Monday Cemetery under the direction of Bayous Funeral Home.
