Funeral Services for Mary Rebecca Wise Jarrell will be held Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at McDonald’s Funeral Home Chapel in Picayune, Mississippi at 10:30 a.m. 

Visitation will be held at McDonald’s Funeral Home one hour prior to the service. 

Burial will be in Henleyfield Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Dr. Kent Megehee and Rev. R. T. Buckley will officiate the service.

A resident of the Pine Grove Community, Mary was a homemaker and a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church for 51 years. 

She was a loving wife for 72 years; mother; grandmother; great-grandmother and will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Martha Jane Wise; brothers, Charlie Clyde Wise and Garland Irving Wise. 

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 72 years Lamont Rowlands Jarrell; one son, William Lamont (Dorothy) Jarrell; two daughters, Mary Yvonne (Dr. Bill) Wolverton and Karen Carleen (Noel) Crowson; grandsons, Jonathan Kyle Gasper; Matthew Allen Gasper and John David Wolverton; two great-grandchildren, Justin Bradley Wolverton and Emily Nicole Wolverton.

The family wishes to express their thanks to Dr. Ahmad Haidar and Forest General Hospice, especially Sara Anne and Carrie. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to The Baptist Children’s Village, P. O. Box 27, Clinton, MS 39060-0027, a charity to which Lamont and Mary have faithfully supported for 72 years.
