Memorial Services for Mildred Henley Eaves Snelgrove Slade, age 90, of Picayune, Mississippi, who passed away Thursday, July 13, 2017, will be held Saturday, July 22, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 22, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Rev. Russell Crowe will officiate the service.

A native of Picayune, she was a Homemaker, a member of the Baptist Faith, and attended The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence John Henley, Sr. and Bernice Balaski Henley: her husbands, Dr. Dewey Eaves, William Leroy Snelgrove, and Lester Slade; her daughter, Lisa M. Snelgrove; her brother, Clarence J. Henley, Jr.; and her sisters, Dorothy J. Penton, Joan Henley, and Norma Henley.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Virginia Eaves; 3 grandchildren, William Cody Snelgrove, Joshua Trevor Brown, and Dakota Lincoln; 1 great grandson, Trevor Brown; her brother, Richard (Pat) Henley; and several nieces and nephews.
