Services for Theddies M. Myers, 66, of Picayune, who passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2017, will be held on Monday, June 12, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. Pastor Donald Parker will officiate at the service.
Theddies Myers was born on July 25, 1950, in Picayune, MS to the late Tressie Myers and N. J. McDonald. He attended George Washington Carver High School where he was a member of the Graduating Class of 1969.
After high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy where he served a short tenure, and received an honorable discharge. He was a welder by trade; and was previously employed with Avondale Shipyard, in New Orleans, LA.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Tressie Mae Myers Levi; his father, N. J. McDonald; grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. I. V. Myers; and sister, Deborah Myers McDonald.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories, one brother, Jerry Myers, of Picayune, MS; one beloved sister-in-law, Norma Myers, of Picayune, MS; one foster brother, Steven Joseph, of New Orleans, LA; one aunt, Peggy (Stephon) Magee, of Picayune, MS; one niece, Renea (Steve); four nephews, Dwight (Ann), Jerel (Kurtitia), Keith, and Nigel (Temeka); and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to service. Interment will be in Picayune Cemetery with Military Honors. Entrusted to Brown’s Funeral Home.
