Funeral Services for Rita Marilyn Hughes, age 66, of Carriere, MS, who passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2017, will be held Saturday, June 10, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 10, 2017 from noon until 2:00 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home.

Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Dr. Josh Braddy will officiate the service.

A native of Belle Chase, LA, she was an LPN at Southern Surgical Hospital. Marilyn was a loving wife, Mawmaw, sister, and friend, who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Trosclair and Ima Jean Browning Troclair.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of over 48 years, Thomas “Tommy” Earl Hughes; her daughter, Tamera Annette (Silverio) Rodriguez; 3 grandchildren, Gage Michael Rodriguez, Hannah Renee Rodriguez, and Mia Kate Rodriguez; and her sisters, Sylvia Anne (Jim) Bradley and  Gayla Louise (Warren) Rogers.
