Funeral service will be held Sat. July 1, 2017 at 12 noon in St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church for Mrs. Martha Jackson Stubbs, age 75 of Picayune, Mississippi, who died Sunday June 25, 2017 at her home.  Dr. Michael Kelly will officiate at the service, burial will be in the Picayune, Cemetery. 

A native of Waveland, she was retired from Brockway Standard Container, she was a member of St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church, she was a Eastern Star, Member of the Usher Board, Member of C.M.U., Senior Mission, Adviser of St. Matthew Inspirational Choir, and Nominee for Hatter Tea. 

Survivors include husband Sylvester Stubbs Sr., Picayune, 3 sons: Shun Stubbs, Raeford, North Carolina; Sylvester Stubbs, Jr. and Chase Stubbs, both of Picayune; 5 daughters: Stacey Dantzler, Theresa Stubbs, Shira Stubbs, of Picayune; Brooklyn Jones of Orrum, North Carolina and Destiny Stubbs, Lumberton, North Carolina; 1 stepdaughter Lora Holloway of Bassfield, 2 granddaughters, 1 grandson, 4 great grandchildren;  3 sisters: Lucille Stubbs, Martha Smith of Picayune and  Mimmie Bell of Biloxi; 1 brother George Smith of Harvey, Louisiana. She was preceded in death by father and mother Willie Jackson and Ada Bolden Jackson, 5 brothers Leroy, Jimmie Sr., Curtis Sr., L.T., Ernest Jackson Sr., Jimmie Davis, 4 sisters Bertha Adams, Emma Roberts, Virgie Dunn, Mary McWilliams.

Visitation will be held  Sat. July 1, 2017 from 11 a.m. to noon at St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church under the direction of Baylous Funeral.
