For the first time in Pearl River Central school history, the Blue Devils baseball team is headed to Jackson as South State Champions.
“This is the result of many years in the making. I couldn’t be happier for these guys,” Head Coach Neil Walther said.
PRC defeated Hattiesburg 7-4 in game three on the Tigers’ field with the help of senior pitcher Cade Lee, who performed strong from the first pitch to the last Saturday night.
Full coverage of the South State Championship series will be featured in Tuesday’s edition of the Item.
