The driver of a frieghtliner died Saturday in a single vehicle accident that occurred on Highway 53 in Pearl River County.
According to a release from the Mississippi Highway Patrol, the accident occured at about 6:50 a.m. Saturday, on Highway 53 near Juniper Grove Road.

At the time of the accident, 32-year-old Cathleen A. White of Jackson was driving a yellow 1994 Freightliner southbound on Highway 53 when she lost control and the vehicle left the right side of the highway. After leaving the roadway, the truck became engulfed in flames.

White was pronounced at the scene. Her cause of death was due to injuries sustained during the crash.

The release states that the crash is still under investigation. Updates will be released as information becomes available.
