A local man was reported missing Saturday after he left his family’s house on foot.
Picayune Police Chief Bryan Dawsey said Robert Joseph “Robbie” Zwirek, III, was reported missing by his family after he left his residence at 1702 Audubon Drive around 3 p.m.
Zwirek is a 27-year-old autistic white male, approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing about 180 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a red shirt, blue pants and brown boots, Dawsey said.
His father said he regularly leaves the residence but usually returns shortly after, Dawsey said.
“At this point, we do not suspect foul play,” he said.
Officers with the department have a relationship with Zwirek and say he is not dangerous. That relationship means Zwirek will welcome any encounter with a uniformed police officer, Dawsey said.
Officers are actively looking for Zwirek, and have notified surrounding law enforcement agencies, Dawsey said.
Anyone with information concerning his whereabouts is asked to contact the Picayune Police Department at 601-798-7411.
In a separate matter, the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department is still searching for a man last seen more than a month ago heading toward Louisiana.
Noland Joseph Alleman, 36, was last seen Feb 23 driving south on Interstate 59 in a silver Hyundai Elantra with the license plate number PUC447, a departmental release states. Alleman is a white male with brown hair and beard, hazel eyes, 5 foot 10 inches tall and weighing about 250 pounds, according to the release. He reportedly has a tattoo on his upper right shoulder that reads “Shantell.”
Anyone with information concerning his whereabouts is asked to contact Detective Randy Messa with the sheriff’s department at 601-795-3050.
