Our sweet mom, Grace Adell Herring Ward went to be with the Lord on March 31, 2017. She was born on November 18, 1915 in Hattiesburg, Miss. to Allen and Permecie Jane Herring. She celebrated her 101st birthday last November.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Ward.
She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Ward Cooper of Picayune and T.J. Ward Shelbourn of Hattiesburg. She was blessed with four grandchildren, Marlinda (Al) Guerra, Melody White, Gary (Faith) Cooper, Jr., all of Picayune, and Niki Shelbourn of Petal. She was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services were held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Moore Funeral Home in Petal, with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday. Interment will be at Forrest Memorial Gardens in Petal.
