Memorial services for Glenn Edward Woodmansee, age 81, of Carriere, Miss., who passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017, will be held Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Picayune, 401 Fifth Avenue, Picayune, MS 39466.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Picayune.
Arrangements are under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Pastor Chris O’Brien will officiate the service.
Ed was a graduate of Arizona State University and served in the United States Army. He retired in 1996 from Tidewater Inc., New Orleans, La, where he was the Employee Benefits Director. Shortly after, he and Sharon moved to Hide-A-Way Lake, Carriere, Miss.
Ed was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Picayune. He was a 32 degree Mason, member of the Moses Cook Lodge, Picayune, Miss.; he was also a member of the Joppa Temple Shrine Club of Picayune, Miss., and a 32 degree Scottish Rite Mason. Ed was a past member of the George Washington Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution. He served on the board of directors of Hide-A-Way Lake.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn Elmer Woodmansee and Elaine Harriet Turnquist Woodmansee.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 57 years, Sharon Elizabeth Horne Woodmansee; his daughter, Lynn Gatewood and husband William; and his son, Thomas Woodmansee and wife Tina; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and his brother, Gene Woodmansee and wife Nancy.
