Spring is here, time to enjoy the warmth

The weather across the county was quite frigid last week, but over the weekend the sun shone brightly and blooms started to peak out.
It seemed as though we had an early spring this year with temperatures reaching the 80s in February, however Monday marked the official start of spring.
Spring is a season of rejuvenation, fresh starts and dusting ourselves off after the winter. Before the heat of the summer takes over, now is a good time to take advantage of the beautiful sunny days.
Whether you’re attending baseball games or kayaking down the Pearl River, it’s beneficial to head outdoors and stretch your legs.
While the nights are still cool, a camping trip could be a good idea to take advantage of the beautiful Mississippi landscape.
Spring is also a perfect time to clean out those closets and donate anything you no longer need. If you haven’t used it or worn it in the past year, it’s probably time to let it go and pass it along to someone who could make use of it.
However, be careful not to fill your home back up with things you don’t need.
When filtering through items to donate, make sure everything is in working or usable condition. Clothes with rips or stains are better used as work rags around the house.
Shoes that are severely worn or scuffed should be thrown away instead of donated.
Making an effort to recycle, repurpose or reuse any unwanted items is always the best option before they hit the dumpster.
Thoroughly cleaning your home by vacuuming couches, washing curtains, pillows and other fabrics can also help eliminate allergens like pollen that find their way into your home.
Enjoy what spring has to offer and get outside for some fresh air, or at the very least open the windows to let the breeze in.
