Knight hits buzzer beater to give Picayune the potential No. 1 seed in the district tournament

With 4.1 seconds left and down 47-45, Maroon Tide’s V.J. Holt rushed the ball down the court and found an open Clay Knight sitting in the corner. As time expired, Knight nailed a 3-pointer to send the Tide passed Hattiesburg, 48-45.

Knight finished with nine points, all behind the arc. Stephane Ayangma scored 19 points along with 13 rebounds and two blocks.

Alex Harris led the Tigers with 24 points, 13 of which came in the final quarter.

Shamiah Bridges finished the night leading Picayune with 10 points. Camille Culpepper dominated the boards, tallying 17 rebounds and eight points.
