Jimmy Wayne Wheat, 70, born on January 4, 1947 in Pearl River County, Miss., passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at his home in Bogalusa, La.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Parker Wheat of Bogalusa, La.; one son, Kenny W. Wheat of Bogalusa, La.; one sister, Lynda (Raymond) Perry of Henleyfield, Miss.; three grandchildren, Alanna Wheat, Harlie Wheat and Layla Rae Wheat.
He is preceded in death by one sister, Sarah Ash; three brothers, Duane Wheat, Billy Wheat and Gary Wheat; and one grandson, Alexander Wayne Wheat.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Palestine Baptist Church, 59369 Palestine Church Road, Bogalusa, La. 70427 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Memorial services will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Fred Brumfield officiating.
