Mr. Louis Devon “Luke” Seals, 44 of Poplarville, lost his battle with multiple illnesses on Saturday morning, December 2, 2016, in Louisville, Ky. Luke, as he was known by those closest to him, was born Nov. 15, 1972 in Poplarville, one of 3 children to Lionelle D. and Ruth Seals of the Magnolia community in Western Stone county. He grew up there, where he learned to love hunting, fishing, and all things outdoors!
He graduated from Stone High School in 1991, and made a career as a diesel mechanic. He will be remembered as a very loving son, brother, and father.
He is described as having a great sense of humor, with a hearty laugh. Luke was also very independent and dedicated, a kind and very giving person. He will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his children, Matthew Chance and Kaitlynn Ashlee Seals, both of Poplarville; his loving mother, Ruth T. Seals; and his sister, Gwendolyn Hunt, both of Magnolia (Lumberton); his fiancé, Ms. Anna Sandlin of Charlestown, Ind.; his beloved former wife, Mona H. Seals of Poplarville; plus several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Services were held earlier this week at Red Hill Baptist Church, and he was buried in the Seals Family Cemetery in Magnolia.
