On the morning of Tuesday, November 29, 2016, God’s angel came down from heaven and called a joyful and dependable servant home to rest in peace.

Ethel Lee Robinson was born on March 3, 1940 in Laurel, Miss. to the late John A. Jones and Estella Jones. She joined New Hebron Baptist Church at an early age, under the leadership of Rev. E. H. Hart. Ethel worked for the Picayune Head Start as a bus driver for many years. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and auntie. She was also a devoted servant in the Lord’s Army and served faithfully on the New Hebron Baptist Usher Board for many years.

She was proceeded in death by both her parents; husband, Willie Robinson Jr.; brothers, John Hayes and David Jones; sisters, Eunice Combast and Maggie Pearl Jefferson; brother- in-law, Lester Smith; and special aunts, Bertha Moore and Canie Williams.

She leaves to cherish her memories seven loving children, Kenneth Ray (Andrenette) Robinson, Diane Robinson, Brenda (Oliver) Nixon, Robin (Alvin) Williams, Theresa (Pat) Goff all of Carriere, Miss., Nancy (Tyrone) Halsell of Gretna, La., Rita (Walter)Riley, Yonkers, N.Y.; sisters, Orangie Lee Smith, Carriere, Miss., Cathy Massey, Staten Island, N.Y. and Janie Littles, Alberta Parker and Charlene (Marvin) Arnold all of Picayune, Miss.; brothers Greg (Diane) Jones, Brooklyn, N.Y., Roger (Shirley) Jones, Avondale, La., Charley Buckley, Picayune, Miss.; brother-in-law, Jerry Combest, Queens, N.Y.; two sister-in-laws, Ethel B. Nixon, Carriere, Miss. and Judy Jones, Chicago, Ill.; one aunt, Georgia Mae Robinson, Purvis, Miss.; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grand children and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016 at the Harts Chapel Baptist Church in Derby, Miss., Rev. George Tillman, Pastor. Visitation will be held prior to the services at 10:00 a.m.
