Dale Joseph Guidry, Sr., age 74, in the early morning hours of December 13, 2016, at his home, Sovereign Grace Homestead in Poplarville, Miss., passed into his eternal heavenly home. Services will be held at White’s Funeral Home, Poplarville, Miss. on Saturday December 18, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Burial following at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Poplarville.
Rev. R T Buckley will officiate the services with Dale Guidry, Jr.
Dale was born, raised and lived in Cut Off, La. and was a true blue Cajun. He made Poplarville his home after retiring from Chevron Oil. He was a master carpenter/craftsman and loved creating treasures in his workshop. His skillfully carved duck decoys placed in the top four of the nation. He loved the Word of God and spent much time in study. He trusted daily in the sovereignty of his Heavenly Father, God Almighty and the finished work of His Savior, Jesus Christ.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Wilcliffe and Della Guidry; brothers, Wilcliffe Guidry, Jr, Joseph Guidry and Anthony Guidry; and his daughter, Denise Guidry Titze.
He is survived by his spouse, Diane Guidry; sons, Dale Guidry, Jr., Kenny Guidry, Pat Martinez, Shawn Martinez and Byron Guidry; his daughters, Nikki Orgeron, Dena Guidry and Wendy Charpentier; his brother, Darrell Guidry, Sr.; his sister, Marilyn Ledet; and brothers, Keith Guidry and Kim Guidry. He was known as Poppy by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
