Funeral services for Sue T. Pinero, 76, of Picayune, MS, who passed away Sunday, October 30, 2016, will be held Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 2, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McDonald Funeral Home.
Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Rev. Harold Manning will officiate the service.
Born in Cleveland, OH, raised and went to school in Millersburg, OH. Sue graduated from Capital University and received her graduate degree from The Ohio State University “Go Buckeyes.” She worked with wounded soldiers during the Vietnam conflict then became the EEO coordinator for The Ohio State University.  She then became a teacher for over 30 years finishing her career with the Picayune School District.  She was on the Board of the Friends of the Library and former member of the Hilda Hoffman Archives. She was an avid reader and enjoyed camping. Sue was a loving mother, wife, and grandmother, who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul S. Tawney and  Mardelle Morgan Tawney.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 24 years, Edward R. Pinero, Sr.; her daughter, Wendy (Gary) Savelle; her step-sons, Ed (Christie) Pinero, Jr., Brett (D’Ann) Pinero, and Trent (Melissa) Pinero; and her 5 grandchildren, Alyssa, Madelyn, Trent II, Olivia, and Taylor.
