Sallie Eris Bounds, age 92, of Picayune, Mississippi passed away Thursday, November 17, 2016 in Picayune.
Visitation will be held Saturday, November 19, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Picayune Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Picayune Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Beau Comeaux officiating. Burial will be at New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bounds lived in Picayune for 68 years, a member of Westlawn Baptist Church, and taught Sunday School for many years at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. She was a homemaker, who loved gardening and sewing; and a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by one son, Charles Claiborne Bounds, Jr. (Glenda); four grandchildren, Tim Graham (Tonya), Christa Bounds Bowman (Jeff), Mark Bounds (Michele), and Dana Graham Wristers (Chris); nine great-grandchildren, Molly Cate Bowman, Charles “Chaz” Claiborne Bounds, III, Slade Bounds, Brean Graham, Graham Wristers, Morgan Wristers, Dylan Wristers, Corbett Bowman, and Blake Frazier; one sister, Mary Sue Mitchell (James); and son-in-law, Billy Graham.
She is preceded in death by her parents Chester and Sadie Sanders; husband Charles Claiborne Bounds, Sr.; one daughter, Linda Ruth Graham; three brothers, Aubrey Sanders, Pershel Sanders, and Rudolph Sanders; and one sister, Iris Johnson.
