Laura Elizabeth Howard, age 48 and a resident of Gulfport, Miss. died on Saturday, November 12, 2016, in Gulfport.
Laura worked in the gaming industry for over 20 years where she was a pit boss. She will be remembered for loving animals and being very caring, loving, and giving.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Stroud; her parents, James and Kay Howard; her siblings, James M. “Sonny” Howard, III, Rebecca E. Johansen (Justin), Hubert D. Howard (Chastity), Paul W. Howard, David C. Howard, Ailien A. Holmes (Braden), Darlene M. Howard, Becky Beech (Josh), Felecia Beall, and Sharlie Gooch (Brian), and a host of many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service was held on Thursday, November 17, 2016, at Juniper Grove Baptist Church in Poplarville. Interment was held in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be made to the Humane Society of South Mississippi, 2615 25th Avenue, Gulfport, Miss. 39501.
Southern Mississippi Funeral Services in Ocean Springs served the family.
